Description: What was the theme or subject of the work? what materials did You use?
I did not realy have a theme. I used fine point sharpie, and colored pencil. Analysis: Explain how i used the following in the art work: elements of art (line, form, value, texture, space, color) and principles of design (unity, contrast, balance, movement, pattern, emphasis) I used bright colors for the sugar skull. Interpretation: How did you come up with your idea? What is the meaning or mood? I came up with this art project because my mom loves sugar skulls, and i had just watched the movie, The Book Of Life. Also the day I was coloring it, it was the day of the dead. Judgment: Is this successful? Why or why not? Yes, that is the best skull that I have ever drawn. Also I like the colors that I used.

The theme was emphasis. I used sharpie, scrap paper, and some pages from an old book. Analysis: Explain how i used the following in the art work: elements of art (line, form, value, texture, space, color) and principles of design (unity, contrast, balance, movement, pattern, emphasis) I used black and white in the back ground so the red would stand out. Interpretation: How did you come up with your idea? What is the meaning or mood? I came up with the idea because it was a boot camp that everybody did. And the word i picked because it sound cool. Judgment: Is this successful? Why or why not? Sorta, I don't like that i ran out of room for the explanation point. Description: What was the theme or subject of the work? What materials did you use?
The theme was contrast. The materials that I used was sharpie and colored pencil. Analysis: Explain how you used the following in the artwork: elements of art (line, form, value, texture, space, color) and principles of design (unity, contrast, balance, movement, pattern, emphasis). I used line to show contrast on the face, I used color to show contrast between the black and white mask to the color full face. Interpretation: How did you come up with your idea? What is the meaning or mood? I am not quite sure how I came up with the idea. we were talking about contrast, and I just thought a face with a zipper down it, letting out the beauty would look cool. Judgment: Is this successful? Why or why not? Yes it is successful. I did the drawing free handed, no images. I did not think it would turn out as cool as it did because I am not very good at drawing the shape of a head. |
